Testimonials

Working with Spill Media on a project to develop a DVD promoting the NHS Direct Wales website worked really well.

Spill Media were friendly yet professional and kept excellent communication with us throughout the project.  They listened to our brief and planned everything to suit our needs. We are really pleased with the final DVD and would love to work with Spill Media again in the future.  We would definitely recommend their expertise to others.

I have found Spill Media and excellent organisation to work with in the production of our DVD. They gained a clear picture of what we wanted the DVD to achieve at an early stage, and worked in a very detailed way with us in the pre-production stage. Spill media worked jointly with us to select actors to play the key roles. Both the filming on the day and post-production work have been to a very high standard. We have met a number of times to review drafts of the DVD, and are extremely satisfied with the final product.

I would recommend Spill Media to any organisation looking at media production at a very professional standard and a reasonable cost.

Spill Media’s film project has been an enjoyable experience and journey for staff as well as the Young People, the project has been a great success and the feedback from the community, councillors and service providers has been overwhelming.

The experience and knowledge in the film industry that Dan and Caroline has given to CYAG, reflects on the quality of the DVD and a lifetime experience that will stay with them forever. The workshops were delivered in a friendly professional manner and CYAG learned and experienced everything in making a film, also their confidence as individuals has grown and learning to work as a team has had a big impact on the group.

I feel these outcomes would never have been achieved if Spill Media were not onboard with the film producing and directing. We would highly recommend Spill Media and would definitely work with them again.

Spill Media were commissioned to deliver an Intergenerational Digital Stories project for us in Cwmafan.

Throughout the 4 days of the course, both Caroline and Dan were the consummate professionals.

Their delivery style was informal, fun and friendly, encouraging and supporting participants structure their personal stories and use the latest digital technology to bring out the best in their personal stories.

I would not hesitate working again with Spill Media, as they are approachable, client centred and highly competent practitioners in the Media field.

Powys Youth Service have worked with Spill media, over several projects.  The young people engaged fully in the workshops and learned a variety of skills, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes using equipment.  The projects helped to raise young people's self esteem and confidence through their learning.

The DVD's were a great way to promote the young people in a positive manner and also to advertise the Splash and Teen Xtreme projects.

Spill Media under the guidance of Caroline and her team worked with Links members for a period of 10 weeks earlier this year. In that short time they taught the members to understand how to use the camera equipment, how to interview and how be interviewed. Considering the short period of time and the fact that many of our members have mental health issues that affect their self-esteem and confidence, the very fact that Spill Media managed to turn the members into able interviewers, interviewees, narrators and technicians was an incredible feat! Let alone the production of a completed documented film which comprehensively illustrated The Llanelly Pottery Industry and which we used as part of our project, people of Llanelli Past and Present.

I would highly recommend Spill media for their professionalism, their gentle attitude towards people with mental health issues and their understanding of our requirements.

Dorothy Morris - Project Worker-Links

During the early part of 2011 the Arts Council for Wales funded a Digital Storytelling Project via the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council Arts Team. Five young people from Dewis Tenant Participation Group were selected to take part and Spill Media were the nominated film makers.

As part of the project Michael Sheen, who was back in Port Talbot preparing to appear in “The Passion” agreed to be filmed and interviewed by the young people.

Spill Media therefore held a workshop for the young people to teach them the techniques required for filming and interviewing. Spill Media interacted exceedingly well with the young people, taking time to show them what was involved and assisting and encouraging them to use the filming equipment.

Dewis’ involvement with Spill Media has been a positive and enlightening experience for all concerned. Spill Media were professional in their approach in all matters and the short film that is the end result is a credit to all.

SWorking with Spill Media has been a very rewarding experience to the young people and staff at STORM Project. Caroline, Dan and Meg were excellent to work with, they were professional and dynamic in their approach, engaging all of the group participants and they enabled us to produce a short film that ultimately exceeded our initial goals and expectations.

Thank you very much Spill Media we are very proud of what we have produced and we believe you have captured exactly what the young people wanted to communicate to the viewer.

You demonstrated patience and respect with all the young people whom you worked with, encouraging them to do things that they'd never experienced before giving them confidence and belief in themselves that they were participating in the overall production.

We can't thank you enough!
